Reassurance

We all crave reassurance and if you run a web or creative agency your clients are no different.

They might call, off schedule, to ask about the site you are building but quickly veer off topic and start chatting about something random that seems to put them at ease.

Or they might visit your site in the middle of the night just to, you know, check in.

It makes perfect sense. Your client probably has a lot riding on what ever it is you are working on. Not to mention the fact that they have (likely) put a fair amount of money in your bank account and see your relationship as a true investment.

By visiting your site, or better still, blog, they can see what else you are doing, see that you are growing and prospering. They get instant reassurance. Take a look in your log files, you might be surprised by what you find.

Even after visiting you online at 2 am sometimes a client still just needs to talk. Don’t blow it off, value it. If they didn’t care about you and your collaboration they wouldn’t be looking for reassurance from you.
