Starting up - A series of sorts

Posted by Jaan on December 14 Add your comment

Starting next week I will introduce a more focused and reasonably chronological series of posts on things I think web entrepreneurs should know about starting and running web based businesses. These will pop up roughly bi-weekly and run in parallel to my regular posts.

They will be different from other advice oriented series in several ways. Firstly, they will reflect my personal opinions on the topic and might not be as broad or open ended as some would like them to be.

Secondly, I aim to keep the topics in context and show why it makes sense to not treat, say, a business decision separately from a marketing or development decision. My philosophy is that done right progressing one will move the others forward. (You would be surprised - or not - by how often the “keep it separate” approach is advocated. Following this path is in my opinion why many online start ups fail.) This contextual approach will become clearer as the series progresses and I am curious to hear your thoughts on it.

Finally, the how to posts will be fairly short and to the point.

Agree or disagree with me via the comments, or email if you prefer.
