“We don’t innovate”

Discussing web strategies is very rewarding when a client knows that they need to move in a new, better direction. Usually we talk about innovation in some form or another and eventually end up with a clear plan. But sometimes a strange thing happens.
An entrepreneur might state that “we don’t innovate”, followed by “innovation is a waste of our time”. And here’s the catch – I’m talking about reasonably newly minted companies! Companies that should embrace innovation, love it, worship it. But sometimes they just don’t. Sometimes brave entrepreneur’s freeze up and become the person they probably swore never to become.
The reason’s for this differ.
Sometimes they are just apprehensive of change and don’t know how to express it. At other times I think a level of being content has set in, and they feel that they have reached a plateau where they can sit back and everything will still be fine. At this stage they need a reminder about why they became an entrepreneur in the first place.

Launching a venture should equal innovation. You should think of nothing else than to innovate, improve and inspire. Especially in the face of adversity.
What ever you do, never stop innovating. The moment you do, you have lost.
