Two under-reported great things about the iPhone 2.0 update

I need to get a word in edge wise on the whole iPhone 2.0 update. But I won’t fret over the glitches or hype all the fab new stuff (but I really dig many of the apps in the App Store). Instead I want to mention two reasonably under-reported improvements that have made my life easier. And isn’t that what a “smartphone” is supposed to do?
1. Password display
When I type in a password I get to see each character briefly before it turns in to a dot. This cuts down on the number of miss typed passwords I submit and saves me oodles of time (I have almost no errors when I type up a note or similar on my iPhone, but pw’s… problems!). Brill.
2. Contacts icon
Adding a dedicated Contacts icon to the menu was a no-brainer.
