Logo musings

Before the “priceless” era there was apparently “Master Charge – The Interbank Card”.

I spotted this sticker on the door of a closed down restaurant just off of Bay Street here in San Francisco. Great to see a logo that has stayed true to its roots, evolved instead of throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater (the ill-fated re-branding of UK-based Abbey National leaps to mind). Having said that, I do prefer this late 1960’s version to the newer incarnations, not to mention the 2006 MC corporate logo.
What are other evolutionary logos that had their heyday in the 60′ and 70’s? Has your logo evolved? Was Bebo’s three week ear-loosing logo mayhem a good move? Share your thoughts with me on Twitter or below.
